Senior Proposal Manager – Writing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive proposals by leading the writing, coordination, and presentation of responses across Word, PowerPoint, and various other formats or systems.

• Collaborate with Account Directors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to effectively navigate the proposal development process.

• Engage actively in project strategy discussions, ensuring that product and service offerings are clearly defined in the proposals.

• Review, edit, rewrite, and revise documents to maintain readability, consistency, accuracy, and relevance.

• Adhere to proposal deadlines by setting priorities and target dates for information collection, writing, reviews, approvals, and signatures.

• Partner with SMEs to gather necessary information and tailor content accordingly.

• Offer significant mentorship to junior proposal writers, including onboarding, training, and continuous learning and development opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least five years of experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical business development or operational settings, or as a Proposal Manager – Writing.

• Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s or PhD is preferred (ideal fields include Life Sciences, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing).

• Strong organizational skills, negotiation abilities, and a proven track record of achieving results.

• Exceptional customer relationship management skills coupled with robust commercial insight.

• Thorough understanding of the proposal development process, the overall organizational structure, functional areas, and commercial strategy.

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Capability to analyze and assess processes and resources effectively.

• Familiarity with the CRO and pharmaceutical sectors, knowledge of sales support functions, and a solid grasp of study design, project management, and operational requirements necessary for successful study execution.
