This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Drive GSI Sales across ASEAN in collaboration with local and regional Tendering and Project Execution teams.
• Assist in promoting sales growth, cultivating client relationships, and formulating sales strategies.
• Establish a key account approach, taking responsibility for defining and implementing the Sales Strategy.
• Foster Customer Intimacy, Business Development, and Order Intake while ensuring compliance with GEV’s Ethics and Compliance standards.
• Assume overall responsibility for developing the pipeline and enhancing margin and top-line growth for Service Opportunities associated with HVDC, FACTS, and ACS.
• Create and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and uncovering new business prospects.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets and objectives for the assigned country of responsibility.
• Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and quotations.
• Maintain precise records of sales activities and client interactions.
• Engage in sales team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative initiatives.
• Identify and cultivate new sales leads through various channels.
• Recognize key areas for synergies and collaboration between GEV and its customers.
• Build influential relationships with assigned customers across all levels.
• Acquire knowledge of the ASEAN market’s economic landscape, competitive challenges, technologies, and market opportunities.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or business from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of sales experience in the power industry.
• Proven experience in conducting market assessments and subsequently creating and executing relevant commercial strategies to enhance market penetration.
• Excellent comprehension of ASEAN economic conditions with respect to regulatory frameworks and an appreciation of socio-political dimensions.
• Ability to forge influential customer relationships, develop plans, sales strategies, presentations, and proposals.
• Strong customer-centric approach.
• Exceptional influence and negotiation skills.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills, particularly at the executive level.
• Capability to effectively lead a multi-functional team and operate within a matrix organization.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of market economics, competitive dynamics, technology, and projects.
• Solid understanding of commercial processes.
• Strong financial analysis capabilities, including forecasting.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, and English.
