
Senior Project Officer – Roadmap to Farm Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Assist in the daily coordination and administration of the Roadmap to Farm Safety Project.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestone requirements to ensure successful project execution.
• Help prepare milestone reports, project updates, briefing documents, and supporting materials for funding and governance needs.
• Organize project meetings, stakeholder consultations, workshops, and engagement activities.
• Maintain project records, action logs, and communication materials.
• Provide operational and project management support across various project workstreams.
• Conduct desktop reviews of WHS guidelines, industry reports, and existing literature pertinent to the grains sector.
• Assist in facilitating stakeholder focus groups, interviews, and consultation activities.
• Aid in data collection, synthesis, and reporting tasks associated with the project.
• Liaise with growers, industry stakeholders, service providers, and project partners to foster collaboration and achieve project outcomes.
• Contribute to identifying project risks, implementation challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support communication and dissemination efforts, including presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates.
• A solid understanding of farm safety, agricultural work practices, and the operational realities within Australian grain-growing enterprises.
• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with proven negotiating and conflict resolution abilities, as well as a demonstrated level of tact and discretion when handling various matters.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgment in addressing issues that may arise during normal daily operations.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient planning, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and manage multiple demands.
• Exceptional administrative skills, combined with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards, and methodologies in the agricultural sector.
• Experience managing a diverse group of key internal and external stakeholders on large or complex projects.
• Previous experience delivering workshops and training to various stakeholder groups in the agricultural sector.
• Prior employment in the higher education/tertiary sector or within a complex, multifaceted organization.
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
