This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee and manage VCF projects from start to finish, ensuring successful completion.
• Partner with AHEAD account teams and pre-sales specialists to assess client priorities and initiatives in order to create project plans and activity backlogs.
• Guarantee service delivery success and client satisfaction through proficient project management.
• Develop, outline, and implement project plans and/or agile boards.
• Identify and confirm resources necessary for project success; coordinate with the sub-contracting team as required.
• Facilitate the coordination of activities and tasks among internal stakeholders including project team members, OA, Resource Management, Delivery Leadership, and others.
• Manage project risks, challenges, and overall progress to ensure that project objectives (e.g., deadlines, scope, and quality) are met.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams to ensure all project requirements are fulfilled.
• Assist in pinpointing process gaps or areas for enhancement.
• Utilize tools like Salesforce, Smartsheet, and Jira effectively.
• Foster customer relationships and assist in identifying further sales opportunities.
• Experience in IT infrastructure or data centers is essential (covering compute, storage, and networking).
• Proficiency and knowledge in VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) is necessary.
• Preferably, financial (budget) and resource management experience with Salesforce.
• Familiarity with PM tools such as Smartsheet and Jira is important.
• Ability to independently manage medium to high-risk projects that promote new adoption in customer environments.
• Practical knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Awareness of project management best practices (i.e., Project Management Body of Knowledge - PMBOK).
• Foundational understanding of IT project methodologies and life cycles (e.g., conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, classic or traditional waterfall phases of analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation).
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in negotiation techniques to achieve agreement amid differing viewpoints.
• Capable of effectively communicating with executive-level clients.
• Ability to consistently establish clear expectations, manage team performance, and foster high morale among project team members.
• Willingness to take initiative in areas beyond core responsibilities when necessary.
