This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Oversee and monitor project timelines, milestones, budgets, deliverables, and the overall health of multiple ongoing projects.
• Ensure that projects adhere to schedules and that internal teams fulfill established deadlines and commitments.
• Identify potential risks, coordination gaps, scope issues, staffing challenges, and client-related concerns proactively before they escalate.
• Advise the Principal on project risks and suggest solutions in a timely manner to avert delays, budget impacts, client dissatisfaction, or project failures.
• Act as the primary point of coordination among designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Track outstanding decisions, approvals, RFIs, submittals, consultant coordination items, and action items to sustain project momentum.
• Facilitate project meetings, document meeting notes, and ensure that follow-up actions are executed.
• Assist in resource planning and workload coordination across the studio.
• Monitor project progress and team performance to ensure that quality and scheduling expectations are met.
• Support the Principal in evaluating project performance and pinpointing areas needing additional support or intervention.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of project drawings, specifications, presentations, and documentation prior to issuance.
• Ensure that all deliverables are coordinated both internally and externally before release.
• Verify that design intent, material selections, dimensions, notes, schedules, and project information are complete and consistent across all documents.
• Review consultant information and coordination packages for completeness and uniformity.
• Confirm that client approvals have been obtained and documented before moving forward with project phases.
• Collaborate closely with designers to identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and coordination issues before they affect the project.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining internal quality-control procedures and project standards.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, studio management, architecture, interior design, construction, or a related field.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage several projects at once.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and strong critical-thinking capabilities.
• Professional and confident communication skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Experience in reviewing drawings, project documentation, consultant packages, and coordination deliverables.
• Comprehensive understanding of project workflows, timelines, and design/construction coordination processes.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment.
• Highly proactive, reliable, intuitive, and solution-oriented.
