Senior Project Manager – Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage intricate projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, scope, quality, and business goals.

• Assume responsibility for steering the software development lifecycle (SDLC) through all stages, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices and security protocols.

• Establish clear reporting channels and executive-level status updates to guarantee alignment and predictability in delivery.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to set clear project goals, deliverables, success criteria, and measurable KPIs.

• Promote effective communication and collaboration among large cross-functional teams across different time zones.

• Create and sustain comprehensive project and release plans, including resource allocation, dependency mapping, risk management, and contingency strategies.

• Drive structured planning rhythms (quarterly planning, sprint governance, release readiness) across diverse teams.

• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks; escalate when needed with clear mitigation strategies and decision-making options.

• Continuously enhance delivery processes, integrating automation and AI-driven workflows to boost productivity and quality.

• Conduct post-project evaluations and implement actionable enhancements based on insights gained.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent practical experience, or a background as a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Manager.

• In-depth knowledge of networking and cybersecurity concepts, especially in cloud-based architectures.

• Proven experience collaborating with backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and security teams concurrently.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in SaaS, cloud, or networking products, with a proven track record in executing roadmaps.

• PMP or PMI-ACP certification is a plus.

• Established experience delivering intricate, multi-team initiatives in distributed engineering settings.

• Strong grasp of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks.

• Familiarity with structured forecasting methods (velocity tracking, Monte Carlo simulation, historical trend analysis, EVM).

• Flexible schedule — capability to work effectively across various time zones.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, including experience with executive-level reporting.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, automation agents) to enhance planning, documentation, reporting, and risk management.

• Ability to create repeatable AI-assisted workflows that improve planning accuracy and reporting efficiency.

• Experience implementing AI tools and best practices within engineering or delivery teams.

• Proven capability to leverage AI for automating recurring reporting, meeting summaries, risk analysis, and delivery tracking.
