This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is accountable for managing the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from the Initiating phase to the Closing phase.
• The Project Manager is tasked with overseeing and executing project management functions for all Sports Venue projects, including budgets and scopes.
• Daily responsibilities encompass project communications, scheduling, compiling task lists for technicians, managing deliverables from engineering, CAD, and Programming, and supervising project completion.
• The Project Manager will serve as the primary person in charge of their assigned projects, exerting direct control over all project activities.
• Provides effective leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, ensuring clear and timely verbal and written communication along with appropriate follow-up.
• Coordinates and communicates tasks related to the timely, accurate, and budget-compliant completion of the project, which includes engaging stakeholders, clearly delegating responsibilities, and conducting client and internal project meetings.
• May be required to regularly lead a team on larger projects.
• Develops and conveys project updates as needed.
• Continuously monitors labor, equipment, and materials budgets.
• Engages contractors and other trades as necessary.
• Ensures quality assurance and encourages continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent professional experience (Technical, engineering, construction management, or business discipline preferred).
• Advanced training in leadership or project management is preferred.
• Industry certifications (AVIXA, broadcast, media systems) are preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project is required; mastery of MS Project is preferred.
• A minimum of 5-8+ years of progressive project management experience is necessary.
• Experience on a construction site is required.
• Proven experience in estimating construction projects is essential.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex, high-value projects is required.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager is mandatory.
• Virtual position (available nationwide).
• Frequent travel by car and airplane is a requirement.
• Employees must have a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.
• Employees are required to use their personal vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate.
• Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will typically account for 70-90% of the job, though remote travel can reach up to 30% at times.
• Regular remote travel of 10% is required.
