Senior Project Manager / RFF Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage BWR Refuel Floor maintenance operations, encompassing reactor disassembly, reassembly, and in-vessel maintenance.

• Facilitate the safe execution of intricate BWR 2–6 Refuel Floor outage projects.

• Handle all project aspects from Initial Task Order (ITO) to Outage Task Release (OTR).

• Assist in off-season spent fuel pool cleanup and dry cask storage initiatives.

• Deliver GEH Technical Training programs in Wilmington, NC, and San Jose, CA.

• Lead project delivery logistics, transition strategies, risk identification, mitigation, and contingency arrangements.

• Guide and mentor multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, including contingent workers and craft labor.

• Supervise both union and non-union staff engaged in BWR Refuel Floor outage maintenance.

• Contribute technical insights on labor quantities, hours, tooling, and logistics to support commercial proposals.

• Engage with senior management from customers and suppliers regarding commercial, execution, technical, and compliance matters.

• Assist in the development of product-line proposals, product innovation, growth initiatives, and training delivery.

• Offer subject-matter expertise in reactor maintenance, in-vessel tooling, and GVH OEM equipment.

• Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations, adhere to business protocols, and comply with regulatory standards.

• Promote the application of standard GVH processes and adherence to procedures across projects.

• Support multiple refueling outages each year at client-owned facilities both domestically and internationally.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field and 5–7 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance activities, or a High School Diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience as a Refuel Floor Lead Technical Director, Refuel Floor Project Manager, Outage Manager, or a similar role supporting Refuel Outage maintenance activities.

• Experience related to Project Management.

• Willingness to travel up to 70% both domestically and internationally.

• Readiness to assist with off-season Spent Fuel Pool cleanup and Dry Cask storage projects.

• Capability and willingness to instruct GVH Technical Training courses.

• Ability and readiness to meet Fitness for Duty and site security requirements for unescorted access at domestic and international sites.

• Willingness to participate in additional GEH training and certification programs.

• Capability to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated environments.

• Ability to commit to 12-hour workdays, seven days a week, during field project execution.

• Skills to effectively manage through high-stress situations.

• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb ten flights of stairs twice a day.

• Capability to pass a respirator fit test and physical examination.

• Knowledge of BWR and PWR vessels and components, NSSS, and Containment Buildings.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, P6, PLM, and Oracle ERP.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

• Keen attention to detail and a sense of ownership regarding outputs.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and global teams.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Ability to secure authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.
