Senior Project Manager – PV/BESS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee utility-scale PV and PV+BESS projects throughout the phases of pre-construction, construction, commissioning, COD, and operational handover.

• Facilitate project execution activities from the owner's perspective, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure that project delivery aligns with the schedule, budget, quality standards, HSE protocols, contractual obligations, and lender requirements.

• Serve as the primary interface on the owner's side for EPC contractors and key project consultants.

• Evaluate contractor performance, adherence to schedules, construction progress, and overall execution quality.

• Collaborate with external technical advisors, owner's engineers, HSE consultants, commissioning specialists, and other technical stakeholders.

• Conduct regular site inspections during active construction and critical project milestones.

• Maintain project timelines, risk registers, action trackers, and reporting frameworks.

• Manage project close-out, warranty oversight, defect resolution, and transition to asset management teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in delivering utility-scale solar PV projects.

• A minimum of 3 years as the primary project manager.

• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering at least 5 utility-scale PV projects to COD in Germany.

• Experience with PV+BESS hybrid projects is essential.

• Background working on owner-side, EPC-side, or integrated developer/EPC delivery models.

• Familiarity with EPCm, multi-contracting, or free-issue equipment models is considered beneficial.

• Required experience with MV grid connection projects; HV/substation experience is viewed as a plus.

• Strong knowledge of utility-scale PV construction and commissioning processes.

• Good understanding of project delivery interfaces.

• Familiarity with German permitting and environmental compliance processes.

• Proficiency in both German and English.
