Senior Project Manager – Power Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• The Senior EPC Project Manager is tasked with delivering project management systems and technical guidance to EPC project teams, aiming for the safe, cost-efficient, and high-quality execution of medium to large-scale electric substation, transmission, and distribution projects.

• Responsible for nurturing the client relationship and keeping company management updated on project status and any issues that arise.

• Offer coaching and mentoring to fellow project management professionals.

• Oversee the project in alignment with Primoris Policies and Procedures.

• Manage client and project stakeholders, ensuring effective business relationships are established and trusted by all parties involved.

• Handle all facets of contract negotiation, change order identification, submission and approval, administration, and the establishment of systems to execute the contract, including subcontractor management.

• Implement robust change control and risk management processes.

• Ensure that EH&S and Quality & Control programs are suitable for the project.

• Provide comprehensive estimates and proposals.

• Conduct productive project meetings (such as project kickoff, client alignment, status updates, progress reviews, etc.).

• Deliver meaningful performance-related feedback and input to relevant line management and project team members.

• Generate project reports and status updates for the project team, management, and clients.

• Provide precise project financial reports to project accounting, complete with adequate support for both internal and external accounting and/or SOX requirements.

• Ensure robust financial controls to maintain project profitability and expected cash flow positions.

• Generate accurate invoices to guarantee timely issuance and payment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the utility industry with a proven track record in Project Management.

• At least 3+ years of relevant work experience in EPC projects.

• PMP Certification is required.

• In-depth knowledge of project management fundamentals.

• Proficient in engineering theories and principles.

• Familiarity with personal computers and software applications, particularly proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project and/or Primavera scheduling software.

• Proven skills in written communications; able to compose both basic and complex technical documents, formal letters, and invoices.

• Strong oral communication skills; capable of delivering presentations to large, diverse audiences.

• High energy level with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a proactive approach.

• Demonstrated success in developing and sustaining internal and external relationships while effectively navigating organizational barriers.

• Strong commitment to achieving goals and plans.

• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.

• Demonstrated skills in negotiation and decision-making.

• Working knowledge of project accounting practices and financial systems.

• Familiarity with EPC, Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus, and Unit contract pricing mechanisms.

• Understanding of the techniques necessary to lead and influence others in a matrix organization.

• Ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

• Experience working directly with material manufacturers in the development of Transmission Lines or HV Electric Substation projects.

• Willingness to travel 25-40% based on project demands.
