
Senior Project Manager β Hematology/Oncology Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Act as the main liaison between the sponsor and the organization at the project level.
β’ Ensure adherence to escalation pathways both internally and externally (Rules of Engagement β communication pathways).
β’ For projects with specific scope requirements, ensure clear distinctions in responsibilities and communication channels for secondary project leads (such as leads in particular regions, leads for specific vendors, or subsets of delivery).
β’ Lead and take ownership of the overall delivery of the cross-functional project (time, cost, quality).
β’ Guarantee financial stewardship at the project level by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the contract, aligning resources to the budget, managing Out of Scope activities, driving the Con Mod process/negotiations, and ensuring team execution aligns with timelines.
β’ Establish, communicate, and manage customer expectations to facilitate optimal delivery throughout the project.
β’ Drive risk identification and issue resolution at the project level (RBQM/RESOLVE).
β’ Ensure project team compliance with organizational policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
β’ Serve as a mentor.
β’ Develop or contribute to initiatives aimed at process improvement.
β’ A bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with relevant formal academic or vocational qualifications.
β’ Prior experience that equips the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job (approximately 8+ years).
β’ Technical and systems proficiency, including effective use of software and applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as organizational systems (CTMS, Preclarus, Clarity).
β’ Ability to delegate and effectively prioritize workload and resources for project team members in a dynamic environment.
β’ Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
β’ Proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities and situations.
β’ Extensive knowledge of therapeutic areas and clinical development guidelines and directives.
β’ Advanced understanding of the essential principles of cross-functional project management (Time, Quality, Cost).
β’ Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
β’ Excellent customer service skills with the capability to proactively address and prioritize expectations.
β’ Good judgment and decision-making skills, with a proven ability to apply critical and analytical strategic thinking to manage complex or ambiguous situations.
β’ Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others and achieve results, along with cross-cultural awareness.
β’ Solid financial acumen with the knowledge and skills to minimize risk by proactively managing and adjusting budgets, forecasts, and resources.
β’ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
