
Senior Project Manager, Global Dividend Fund

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Take ownership of the Fund's development plan, coordinating legal, governance, partnership, fundraising, and pilot workstreams in alignment with external milestones and commitments from funders.
β’ Oversee external legal counsel across various jurisdictions, including US tax-exempt organization counsel and Swiss foundation counsel, ensuring that legal guidance is effectively communicated for actionable decisions by the team.
β’ Facilitate the development of partnerships with delivery organizations, coalition members, and endorsers, which involves preparing term sheets and memoranda of understanding and managing them through to execution.
β’ Provide comprehensive support for fundraising activities: creating materials, preparing the CEO for discussions with funders, addressing due diligence inquiries, and managing the pipeline along with reporting obligations to current funders.
β’ Assist in the design and establishment of the Fund's governance framework, including the formation of the board, development of the charter, and structuring of committees.
β’ Collaborate with delivery organizations to prepare the Fund's inaugural distribution pilot, overseeing the process from design to operational readiness.
β’ Develop the Fund's internal operational framework, which encompasses planning, reporting, decision records, and the essential systems required for a new institution to gain credibility with legal counsel, funders, and auditors.
β’ Act as a representative of the Fund to external stakeholders in instances where the CEO is unavailable, exercising discretion regarding what information can be shared and what remains pending.
β’ A minimum of 5 years in a role that demands complete ownership of complex projects involving external stakeholders.
β’ Direct experience in establishing something new, whether it be an organization, fund, program, or major partnership.
β’ Proven track record in managing external advisors, particularly legal counsel, and translating their recommendations into actionable decisions.
β’ Exceptional writing and synthesis skills.
β’ Experience in partnership or contract negotiations, or a strong ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
β’ Familiarity with areas such as philanthropy, global development, nonprofit governance, institutional investment, or AI policy.
β’ Ability to thrive in a dynamic, remote, international team environment, demonstrating the necessary self-direction.
