Senior Project Manager, Data Center Tenant Fit Out

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily coordination and execution of data center tenant fit-out and customer deployment initiatives.

• Provide guidance and daily management for an Associate Project Manager or Senior Associate Project Manager, fostering their professional development in project coordination and delivery tasks.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project scope, schedule, and budget goals.

• Manage the delivery of white space build-outs, which include racks, containment, structured cabling, and essential MEP infrastructure.

• Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and action item logs.

• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and key dependencies; proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and dashboards for both internal stakeholders and client teams.

• Lead coordination meetings with internal teams, design consultants, contractors, and tenant representatives.

• Assist with procurement activities such as contract administration, change order evaluation, and invoice tracking.

• Keep project documentation updated and ensure that drawings, specifications, and project records are well-organized.

• Aid in ensuring compliance with data center operational standards, safety regulations, and quality expectations.

• Support site activities as necessary, including occasional travel to active project locations.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management processes, tools, and reporting standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 15 years of experience managing or supporting projects in data center construction, tenant fit-outs, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale commercial construction.

• Experience in managing customer-facing fit-out or tenant improvement projects within operational or shell data center environments.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems that support mission-critical infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling, and structured cabling coordination.

• Proven experience managing project scope, schedule, and budget in multi-stakeholder environments.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management and document control software (Procore, P6) is advantageous.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.

• Capable of collaborating effectively across diverse teams, including internal stakeholders, contractors, and client representatives.

• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center clients is highly preferred.
