
Senior Project Manager β Core Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Develop, enhance, and scale project management methodologies that ensure transparency into Core Technology projects, milestones, risks, and interdependencies.
β’ Collaborate closely with engineering leaders, producers, and cross-functional stakeholders to grasp technology roadmaps, align priorities, and guarantee the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
β’ Manage the intake, prioritization, and upkeep of the Core Technology backlog, effectively balancing business demands, technical necessities, and team capacity.
β’ Work with the Core Technology Engineering Lead to strategize and allocate resources for initiatives, optimizing team distribution while managing scope, schedule, and technical complexity.
β’ Create and present clear project status updates, roadmap revisions, and risk evaluations to studio leadership and significant stakeholders.
β’ Oversee project planning, milestone assessments, dependency management, and cross-team coordination across various technical workstreams.
β’ Collaborate with project teams to establish objectives, success metrics, and delivery standards for Core Technology initiatives.
β’ Actively identify risks, obstacles, and resource limitations, facilitating resolution and alignment among internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Advocate for operational excellence by refining workflows, communication techniques, and development practices that allow teams to perform efficiently.
β’ 3β5+ years of experience in project management, technical production, or program management supporting engineering-centric teams.
β’ 3β5+ years in game development or a comparable software development setting.
β’ Proven track record of managing intricate technical projects with multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capability to adjust messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Experience in presenting project updates, risks, and technical concepts to leadership and executive stakeholders.
β’ Established ability to negotiate scope, timelines, and priorities while fostering alignment across diverse teams.
β’ Familiarity with all stages of the game development lifecycle, from pre-production to launch and live operations.
β’ Proficient in utilizing project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
