This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan, organize, and implement the complete life-cycle commissioning of essential facilities systematically.
• Offer technical guidance and leadership for commissioning initiatives.
• Engage in MEP design evaluations and functional assessments of intricate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Assist in all facets of project execution while collaborating with owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and various trades.
• Create and assess bid proposals, commissioning strategies, timelines, testing protocols, and procedural documents.
• Foster communication and ensure adherence to owner specifications, relevant legislation, standards, guidelines, and manuals.
• Oversee project initiation, kickoff, RFIs, submittals, resource and material forecasting, timelines, meetings, staffing, QA/QC, commissioning strategies, testing, and project closeout.
• Compile project status reports and spearhead the preparation of final commissioning reports for clients.
• Anticipate and track project budgets, profitability, margins, billing rates, utilization, risks, change orders, and deadlines.
• Develop proposals, presentations, and marketing initiatives; advocate for the firm’s services and expertise.
• Cultivate client relationships, identify new project opportunities, and ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication.
• Conduct on-site inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment validation for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Utilize technical testing instruments and coordinate with vendors and contractors during project execution.
• Lead intricate project teams, coordinate personnel, and support the development of policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7–10 years of experience in commissioning, construction management, or MEP systems within mission-critical or critical-facility settings.
• Previous experience directing full life-cycle commissioning projects, encompassing design review, functional testing, and project completion.
• Proven track record in managing project budgets, timelines, and staffing for complex or programmatic projects.
• Experience collaborating directly with owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades in a construction or commissioning environment.
• Extensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control system principles.
• Strong grasp of commissioning, construction methodologies, project management, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with materials, methods, and tools utilized in mission-critical and commercial construction projects.
• Competent in resource management, personnel supervision, strategic planning, and team coordination.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams; capable of adapting to client/industry-specific software.
• Ability to harness AI and emerging technologies.
• Capable of thriving in a remote work environment with effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactivity, resourcefulness, and a distraction-free workspace.
• Competent in leading complex project teams and coordinating other personnel.
• Skilled in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Proficient in communicating technical and non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Capable of performing under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to rent vehicles and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must reside near a major airport.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically, potentially to any or all 50 U.S. states.
• Must hold a valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel commencing May 7, 2025.
• Must adhere to company and site safety protocols.
• Must obtain NFPA70E and/or OSHA training certification if required.
• Certification as a Commissioning Professional (CCP), Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), or equivalent industry credential is preferred.
• Previous supervisory or project team leadership experience is preferred.
