This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• The Senior Project Manager (SPM) holds accountability for the scope, timeline, budget, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its complete lifecycle.
• The Project Manager is tasked with supervising and executing project management duties for all AVE projects, including managing budgets and scopes.
• The Project Manager will serve as the primary individual responsible for their assigned projects, exercising direct control over all project activities.
• The Senior Project Manager will also provide mentorship to other Project Managers within the organization.
• The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely, on-budget completion of systems integration projects while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Delivers clear leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, ensuring accurate and timely verbal and written communication and follow-up.
• Coordinates all activities necessary for the prompt, accurate, and budget-compliant completion of the project, which includes engaging stakeholders, clearly delegating responsibilities, and conducting both client and internal project meetings.
• Develops and shares project updates as necessary.
• Continuously monitors labor, equipment, and materials budgets.
• Oversees project status including costs, timelines, and staffing to guarantee the timely and accurate completion of projects.
• An Associates or Bachelor's degree is required, along with equivalent experience.
• A PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is necessary.
• AVIXA CTS certification is required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a project manager in commercial construction trades or AV commercial environments is essential.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with audio/video systems are required.
• Familiarity with low voltage electrical projects is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Supervisory and interpersonal skills are required.
• The Project Manager must possess the ability and skills to identify and resolve intricate technical, political, and personnel-related issues.
• Exceptional people leadership skills are required.
• A solid financial background in project cost accounting is important.
• Frequent travel by car and occasional air travel is necessary.
• Employees must hold a valid driver's license in their state of residence.
• Employees will be required to use their personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursed at the current corporate rate.
• Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) typically constitutes 70-90% of the job, though remote travel may account for up to 30% at times.
• Regularly, 10% remote travel is expected.
