This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and coordinate every aspect of technical projects from their inception to final delivery.
• Guarantee successful service delivery and client satisfaction through proficient project management.
• Manage the initiation of projects, which entails identifying contractual responsibilities, client requirements and objectives, current circumstances, and essential contacts. Access existing information as necessary.
• Create, define, and implement project plans, including project scope, activities, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Determine required resources for projects while defining and assigning key project roles.
• Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments, and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as required to achieve project objectives, ensuring timely completion within budgetary limits and maintaining quality standards for the project scope.
• Delegate and monitor the work of the project team, offering technical and analytical support and guidance.
• Engage with clients on technical issues as needed.
• Manage project risks, issues, and activity progress to ensure that project objectives (e.g., deadlines, scope, and quality) are met.
• Assist with problem resolution or risk mitigation as necessary.
• Oversee the integration of vendor/subcontractor tasks, as well as track and review vendor/subcontractor deliverables when applicable for the project.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure that all project targets and requirements are fulfilled.
• Conduct project closure activities to formalize project acceptance, handover documentation, and ongoing activities, including completing a post-implementation review to identify areas for improvement.
• Directly supervise employees assigned to the project, selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Identify gaps in project management coordination processes or areas for enhancement, recommending and implementing solutions.
• Utilize Ahead systems (PSA, etc.) to keep project information current.
• Assist in presales activities, including OA, SOWs, and customer presentations.
• Cultivate customer relationships and help identify additional sales opportunities.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) are preferred.
• At least 10 years of project management experience, focusing on leading and delivering complex projects or programs.
• Experience with data center/workload migrations, data center consolidation, and/or data center build-outs is essential.
• Strong technical expertise in Dell, VMware, Rubrik, NetApp, etc.
• Proven ability to independently manage medium to high-risk, high-complexity, and high-visibility client projects.
• Must possess a strategic mindset to align projects or programs with organizational goals.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, team management, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
• Skilled in negotiation techniques to achieve agreement when viewpoints differ significantly.
• Ability to facilitate interactions with executive-level clients effectively.
• Must be capable of identifying, assessing, and effectively mitigating risks.
