This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee substantial and intricate system integration projects across both business and technology sectors, encompassing platform implementations, data migrations, vendor integrations, and operational transitions.
• Create and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, and delivery timelines.
• Propel execution across various workstreams while aligning dependencies, priorities, and schedules.
• Provide structure, clarity, and proactive momentum to projects that are ambiguous and continuously evolving.
• Facilitate decision-making processes and direct stakeholders toward feasible solutions.
• Coordinate collaboration among Operations, IT, Product, Finance, Provider Network, Enrollment, Claims, Customer Service, and external vendors.
• Lead project meetings, working sessions, and governance forums.
• Act as the main point of coordination between business leaders, technology teams, and vendor partners.
• Report on project status, risks, and key decisions to program leadership and executives.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies; drive resolutions.
• Maintain integrated schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and executive summaries.
• Assist with testing coordination, business readiness, transition planning, stabilization, and operational handoff.
• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to PMO best practices and ongoing improvements.
• Experience in the Health Plan industry is required.
• Knowledge of claims, enrollment, billing, provider, and customer service operations.
• A minimum of 6 years of project management experience delivering large and complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting large-scale system integrations or enterprise platform implementations.
• Capability to lead cross-functional teams and manage numerous stakeholder relationships within a matrixed environment.
• Proficient in operating effectively within ambiguous or changing environments while sustaining forward momentum.
• Must reside in an approved Sentara state.
• Preferred experience with core health plan platforms such as QNXT, Facets, HealthRules, or similar.
• Preferred experience in data migration, vendor integrations, or enterprise transformation programs.
• Familiarity with hybrid delivery models that combine waterfall governance and agile execution is preferred.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments is preferred.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
