This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver development assistance, conceptual design, and owner's engineer services for electric power initiatives.
• Execute technical assessments of electric power generation projects and infrastructures.
• Create solutions that align with project management demands and client specifications.
• Conduct engineering design evaluations and technical due diligence assessments.
• Aid in project economic analysis, cost evaluations, risk assessments, and contract formulation.
• Manage project financials, schedule updates, risk mitigation strategies, contract backlogs, project progress, and staffing plans.
• Offer senior-level coordination, administrative, and analytical assistance to project teams.
• Participate in internal and client project meetings at the discretion of the Project Manager.
• Assist with scheduling deadlines and maintaining timelines for deliverables across multiple projects.
• Lead or mentor efforts in automation and process enhancement, involving engineering calculations, technical document summaries, and design documentation.
• Supervise engineers working in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel, including reviewing automated outputs.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Acceptable fields of study include electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of independent engineering experience in power projects and/or involvement in power project development.
• Familiarity with various power generation technologies, encompassing both thermal and renewable sources.
• Capability to organize and prioritize tasks while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office tools, with advanced expertise in MS Excel for creating detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Capacity to engage and multitask effectively with project team members, clients, and vendors at varying organizational levels.
• Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.
• Experience in drafting technical reports and proposals.
• Skills in project planning and leadership.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in project finance or financial modeling related to power projects is advantageous.
• Background in owner's engineering activities during power project execution is a plus.
• Mechanical design experience in thermal power projects is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness or capability to lead others using data, automation, and AI tools.
• Additional education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related disciplines is valued but not required.
• Experience supervising automation in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is appreciated but not required.
