Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Directs the planning and execution of medium to large-scale power delivery projects of varying complexity.

• Aids in business development by engaging in project scoping, fee formulation, proposal creation, interviews, negotiations, and contract finalization.

• Evaluates assigned projects post-award to establish project scope, outline work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, staffing plans, vendor lists, and billing milestones.

• Engages with client management as needed throughout the project lifecycle to address issues and secure approvals upon project completion.

• Cultivates an ongoing business relationship with clients as part of continuous business development initiatives.

• Plans, organizes, communicates, and coordinates project engagements effectively.

• Oversees the daily operations of project engagements involving clients and project teams.

• Accomplishes project goals, including quality standards, budgets, and timelines.

• Assesses project performance and resource usage.

• Recognizes potential out-of-scope work.

• Manages and negotiates changes to contracts.

• Identifies and mitigates project risks from the proposal phase throughout the project duration.

• Trains, mentors, and supervises other Project Managers, and actively participates in portfolio and project reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited institution (preferred but not mandatory).

• Proven experience with Transmission Lines is essential.

• PMP certification is preferred but not required.

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in the Power Delivery Industry, with a minimum of 5 years in project management roles.

• Strong foundation in financial management principles.

• Demonstrated ability and success in managing large, multi-discipline programs, projects, multi-office projects, and/or multiple concurrent projects.

• Comprehensive understanding of various power delivery project types (transmission, substation, distribution).

• Excellent relationship development and management skills.
