Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive project planning and execution, encompassing scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring milestones across various simultaneous initiatives.

• Develop and uphold project plans, roadmaps, and status reports.

• Act as the main point of contact for external clients and partners.

• Recognize, manage, and resolve project risks, obstacles, and technical challenges.

• Lead stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and client check-ins.

• Convert business and client requirements into organized project plans and clearly defined engineering tasks.

• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and quality; proactively escalate and resolve issues.

• Maintain project charters, status reports, decision logs, and materials for clients.

• Collaborate with engineering leads to address delivery bottlenecks, dependency conflicts, and gaps in processes.

• Assist in post-project evaluations and foster continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.

• Serve as the daily liaison between internal teams and external clients or partners.

• Lead client-facing status updates, business reviews, and discussions for issue resolution.

• Highlight client risks along with mitigation strategies and realistic timelines.

• Manage competing priorities across various client or partner accounts.

• Coordinate technical troubleshooting for issues reported by clients.

• Collect and document client feedback and requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience managing technical projects, preferably in software development, data platforms, or enterprise IT settings.

• Strong organizational abilities and capability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

• Proven troubleshooting skills with technical challenges and cross-team collaboration.

• Experience working directly with external clients or partners.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to convey technical details to non-technical audiences and vice versa.

• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Practical experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Understanding of APIs, cloud environments, and data pipelines.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity, documentation, reporting, analysis, planning, communication, and delivery workflows.

• PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification is advantageous.
