Senior Project Manager – Artificial Intelligence/IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain detailed project and program plans that encompass scope, timelines, dependencies, resource allocation, budgets, risks, and strategies for mitigation.

• Direct cross-functional teams that include IT, Data Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Quality, Legal, and Business areas.

• Implement AI- and technology-driven projects such as data platforms, AI/ML solutions, process automation, system integrations, and enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with business and functional leaders to convert strategic goals into actionable technology roadmaps and execution plans.

• Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, systems integrators, and technology partners to guarantee quality, value, and timely delivery.

• Proactively recognize and address technical, operational, security, and organizational risks.

• Set and monitor delivery metrics, milestones, and KPIs, providing updates on progress, risks, and results to senior leadership and governance bodies.

• Oversee program financials, which includes forecasting, cost management, value tracking, and realization of benefits.

• Promote continuous improvement, modern delivery methodologies, and the ethical and responsible adoption of AI technologies.

• Assist in organizational change management, user adoption, and operational transitions to ensure sustainable results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred (e.g., Information Systems, Data Science, AI, MBA).

• At least 10 years of project or program management experience, with a minimum of 5 years leading intricate IT and/or AI-enabled projects.

• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or similar certification is preferred.

• Strong grasp of AI/ML concepts, software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid), and enterprise IT landscapes.

• Proven experience in delivering projects that involve data platforms, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, automation, analytics, or AI-driven solutions.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with contemporary project and delivery tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project).
