This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• The Senior Project Coordinator, SSC is responsible for providing project and operational coordination that facilitates the effective planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement of complex initiatives.
• Reporting directly to the Manager of Operations, this position leads and orchestrates projects from the planning stage through to implementation.
• Collaborates closely with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and subject matter experts to ensure that objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Offers leadership in various areas including project planning, partner engagement, communications, curriculum or resource development, event coordination, and process enhancement.
• Ensures that all work is aligned with organizational priorities and adheres to quality standards.
• Responsible for managing multiple operational functions, which encompass project management, financial coordination, reporting, communications, documentation, and partner support.
• Develops and implements tools, resources, and standardized procedures, overseeing project budgets and deliverables, coordinating meetings and events, and providing guidance to project teams to ensure effective progress.
• Identifies risks and opportunities, recommends enhancements, and supports the successful execution of strategic initiatives while nurturing collaborative relationships across the organization and with external partners.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and two years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and effectively coordinate tasks and priorities with fellow team members.
• Experience within the BC healthcare system or a general understanding of it is preferred.
• Proven experience in project management, skilled at balancing multiple concurrent activities and projects with a keen attention to detail and efficient time management.
• Capacity to apply logical and analytical reasoning to define problems, gather information, establish facts, and determine the best solutions.
• Exceptional judgment in prioritizing tasks, managing time, identifying issues, and problem-solving while adhering to deadlines.
• Strong diplomacy, communication, and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to engage with highly trained professionals and diverse stakeholders.
• Skills in budget development and management are considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in dynamic, challenging, and ambiguous environments.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing learning management systems and communication platforms is an asset.
• Excellent research and writing abilities with a proven track record of developing clear and concise communications.
• Ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated proficiency in PC-based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
