Senior Project Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver transactional and analytical accounting support to clients in the AEC sector, including financial reporting, project accounting, payroll reconciliation, and client invoicing.

• Generate precise monthly financial statements and reconcile them with subsidiary schedules.

• Evaluate financial reports for trends, inconsistencies, and irregularities.

• Manage general ledger schedules that encompass prepaid expenses, depreciation, and loan amortization.

• Execute payroll reconciliations and journal entries.

• Handle client invoicing, accounts receivable tasks, and reconcile bank/credit card accounts.

• Conduct client-facing financial review meetings and convey insights on financial performance effectively.

• Oversee multiple client accounting engagements concurrently while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.

• Organize project kickoff meetings, develop agendas, and track follow-up action items.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to further client objectives.

• Ensure precise project documentation and maintain workflow records.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of best practices within the firm.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a Senior Project Accountant role or a comparable position.

• Preferably experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

• Strong background in financial statement preparation and reconciliation.

• Familiarity with payroll reconciliation and recording processes.

• Knowledge of job costing, WIP analysis, and principles of project accounting is preferred.

• Confidence in leading financial discussions and meetings with clients.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
