Senior Progress Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and improve corporate systems tailored for the financial industry.

• Engage in technical analysis and gather requirements effectively.

• Integrate with corporate systems to support essential business functions.

• Build and maintain applications utilizing Progress 4GL (character-based).

• Take part in the analysis of technical and functional requirements.

• Implement solutions, enhancements, and provide continuous support for existing systems.

• Work on integrating financial systems with Oracle ERP.

• Create technical specifications and maintain system documentation.

• Perform unit testing and aid in validation/UAT processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee high-quality deliverables.

• Detect and resolve issues within production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in developing systems using Progress 4GL.

• Familiarity with Oracle Database.

• Experience with financial systems including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Accounting, Billing, and Financial Reconciliation.

• Experience in integrating with Oracle ERP.

• Understanding of systems analysis and modeling techniques.

• Preferred: Knowledge of REST APIs.

• Preferred: Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Preferred: Background in modernizing legacy systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle Cloud ERP processes.

• Strong analytical abilities.
