Senior Programmer, C++

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Lead Programmer and Technical Director to create a cohesive technology vision.

• Draft and evaluate technical design documents.

• Develop high-quality, efficient, clean, and modular code.

• Proactively recognize and address tasks and issues, including refactoring and bug fixing.

• Mentor and train fellow programmers.

• Provide and receive constructive feedback regarding code performance, readability, testability, and design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of programming experience in the gaming industry or a related field.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.

• A genuine passion for playing and creating innovative games – you identify as a gamer.

• Experience shipping at least one game in a senior or lead programming role.

• Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Proficient knowledge of C++, Standard Library, and Object-Oriented Design.

• Strong understanding of general and 3D mathematics, statistics, and probability.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment.

• Ability to estimate workload accurately and complete tasks within the estimated timeframe.

• Experience with C#, Java, Lua, HLSL/Cg shaders, iOS, Android, Test Driven Development, Visual Studio, Perforce, unit testing, and TDD for server development, C# server environments, AWS, Azure, GCP, and live server operations is a plus.
