This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle (from Concept to Commercialization) of intricate, high-impact clinical assay development projects.

• Ensure that projects are aligned with strategic goals, remain within budget, and adhere to all timelines.

• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams throughout the product development journey.

• Establish detailed project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource needs.

• Create comprehensive project plans that align with the Tempus Product Development Process, utilizing approved project management tools and software.

• Set project milestones and enforce strict compliance with timelines and quality benchmarks.

• Review, verify, and ensure the completeness of all project outputs, deliverables, and documentation.

• Generate precise project cost estimates, oversee expenditures, and manage financial reporting.

• Actively identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks and resolve critical issues.

• Function as the primary contact, providing regular and clear status updates to senior leadership and project stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (4 years) in a scientific, clinical, technical, or business discipline is preferred; an advanced degree is an advantage.

• 5–10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale, complex projects.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of formal project management methodologies and demonstrated experience applying them in the Biotechnology, Clinical Laboratory, or Medical Device sectors.

• Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, GMP, NYSDOH, and FDA regulations and requirements.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Asana) and budget management tools.

• Capability to foster and maintain effective, trust-based relationships within a diverse, results-oriented organization.

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and within the stipulated timeframe and quality standards.
