This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and assess new program opportunities, leading the due diligence process across underwriting, insurance products, legal aspects, and insurance operations.
• Provide support for program structure recommendations, which include coverage architecture, underwriting guidelines, and rating frameworks in alignment with Counterpart's target business classes.
• Create Program Assessment Template documents that clearly outline program requirements, participation criteria, production needs, and annual projected forecasts.
• Serve as the main point of contact to ensure continuity in program relationships from inception through to consistent production outcomes.
• Negotiate, finalize, and uphold Program Management Agreements; ensure that all contractual obligations, service standards, and authority parameters are continuously met.
• Perform regular performance audits and portfolio evaluations, measuring outcomes against KPIs set at the program's inception and providing recommendations for underwriting strategies to the Insurance Product team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the insurance product team on renewal terms and processes for both new and existing program opportunities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability within program operations.
• Engage in partner visits and facilitate ongoing communication between agency partners and Counterpart's service team to address policy, billing, and underwriting issues.
• Prepare and deliver materials for stewardship reviews, board meetings, and business updates; coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, and follow-up actions.
• Attend national trade conferences and industry events as a senior representative of Counterpart's programs business, fostering relationships and enhancing brand visibility.
• Review legislative and market trends affecting program structures; proactively suggest coverage enhancements and identify compliance implications.
• Utilize AI-powered tools, including Counterpart's internal systems, to enhance program analysis, client reporting, and operational workflow efficiency.
• Adopt an experimentation mindset regarding how technology can boost program prospecting, performance monitoring, and client communication.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience; a college degree is required.
• Background in management and/or professional liability insurance, with demonstrated expertise in program, captive, or alternative risk structures.
• Proven experience in managing intricate program portfolios, including prospecting, underwriting, regulatory compliance, and program stewardship with minimal oversight.
• Experience in leading or significantly contributing to program due diligence, structure design, and inception; not merely maintaining existing programs operationally.
• Strong cross-functional instincts: comfortable interacting with actuarial, field underwriting, legal, IT, claims, and other teams at Counterpart to further program objectives.
• Exceptional client relationship management skills, with experience overseeing multi-stakeholder partnerships and representing a company at senior levels externally.
• Ability to thrive in a high-velocity, lean environment and establish their own methods and priorities.
