This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Screen, evaluate, and facilitate the processing of project modification requests, budget requests, and materials related to health systems research.
• Organize and implement program workflows associated with project processing, budget-related requests, and peer review activities, ensuring they align with established guidelines and timelines.
• Maintain and update tracking systems for personnel and projects to assist with application review and peer review procedures.
• Assist in the upkeep of budget-related tracking, which includes monitoring submissions, updates, and financial projections.
• Gather, validate, and structure data from field activities to support reporting and program monitoring.
• Recognize opportunities for process enhancement and aid in the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and training resources.
• Offer administrative and programmatic assistance for VA Research Office committees, including IACUC, SRS, and R&D Committee activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, health administration, public health, biomedical sciences, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in supporting program operations, research administration, or program analysis within a complex organization.
• Proficiency in supporting structured workflows that involve project processing, regulatory review, or research administration activities.
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and prioritize competing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience in data validation, maintaining tracking systems, and working with structured datasets (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, IRBNet, or similar platforms).
• Background in facilitating stakeholder coordination across various teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation and submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting while managing deadlines and deliverables.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Involvement in Health Systems Research (HSR) program operations.
• Independent management of multiple workstreams.
• Coordination across diverse stakeholders.
• Support for research compliance processes.
