Senior Professional Services Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee large-scale commercial initiatives and facilitate executive stakeholder meetings and communications.

• Collaborate with GitLab Support, Engineering, and Product teams to address intricate customer issues utilizing GitLab technologies.

• Enhance Professional Services project management tools, processes, procedures, and templates.

• Provide monthly summaries of key customer projects and compile a summary for quarterly business reviews.

• Develop and oversee delivery schedules, manage customer expectations, project scope, resources, status, risks, and issues for technical and consulting services.

• Handle customer escalations by liaising with customers and GitLab stakeholders, including the executive team, Sales, and Technical Account Managers.

• Establish dependable and repeatable delivery processes, metrics, and operational procedures.

• Set and meet forecast goals by coordinating efforts among customers, Technical Architects, project engineers, partner consultants, and delivery partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing complex information technology or software consulting projects for external clients from initiation to completion.

• Capability to manage project scope, schedules, resources, customer expectations, risks, issues, and multiple priorities while delivering clear executive-level status reports.

• Proficient in building effective relationships with customer leaders, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and managing escalations.

• Ability to identify and resolve project challenges, inspire advisory teams and contributors, and mediate conflicts.

• Experience in supporting timely revenue recognition and executing change orders as necessary.

• Familiarity with project management and technical delivery methodologies for software, including Project Management Institute methodologies, agile or Scrum, the software development lifecycle, and project management or agile tools such as GitLab.

• Experience with enterprise customers and Professional Services is a plus.
