Senior Professional Services Engineer – Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Account Directors and Customer Engineers to assess Professional Services opportunities and differentiate between transformation gaps and tooling gaps.

• Facilitate scoping discussions with customer stakeholders, clarify the problem, confirm interest, design engagement frameworks, and create commercially viable and delivery-ready Statements of Work.

• Develop and construct technical solutions that enhance Pendo’s functionalities and integrate with customer systems.

• Produce production-quality code, create APIs, design data pipelines, and execute ETL processes across data warehouses, analytics platforms, BI tools, and emerging AI/ML systems.

• Manage multiple intricate technical projects from start to finish, including data engineering and system integration tasks.

• Oversee execution, resolve issues, provide technical guidance on escalated engagements, and ensure delivery meets customer expectations, scope, and timelines.

• Offer advice to customers on data architecture, integration patterns, and long-term technical strategies.

• Create reusable code libraries, frameworks, and integration patterns that can be utilized across the Professional Services team.

• Recognize patterns across engagements and convert them into reusable playbooks, documentation, and delivery methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a customer-focused technical role within B2B SaaS, with practical experience in writing custom code and building integrations.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Python, or Node.js, with the capability to produce production-quality backend code.

• Extensive experience with APIs, data pipelines, integration patterns, ETL processes, and data modeling.

• Proficient in SQL with strong data modeling skills.

• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.

• Proven ability to convert complex data concepts into business value for both technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience in leading technical transformation projects and data infrastructure initiatives.
