Senior Professional DevOps Engineer, SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Shared accountability for system availability: You will play an active role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and efficiency of our intricate system architecture, which operates on approximately 70 servers hosted at Hetzner.

• Maintenance and automation: You will assist in the upkeep and automation of our current infrastructure, utilizing technologies such as Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, ClickHouse, and Kubernetes.

• Monitoring and analysis: You will enhance our monitoring approaches and conduct thorough incident and root-cause analyses.

• High availability: You should be ready, in exceptional circumstances, to be on call during nights to ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

• Software development: A minimum of several years of experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Java, Go, TypeScript) is required.

• A minimum of several years of experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Java, Go, TypeScript) is essential.

• A solid understanding of system automation and IT security is required.

• Hands-on experience with some of the following systems: MySQL, TiDB, Kubernetes, MinIO, and Elasticsearch.

• Proficiency in German and a good command of English.

• Strong analytical capabilities paired with exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Experience in contributing to open-source projects is considered a plus.
