Senior Product Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Product Security Strategy: Develop and enhance a software assurance model that integrates security into the initial phases of our development lifecycle.

• Security Design Reviews: Evaluate new features and product launches, conducting threat modeling and offering actionable recommendations to engineering teams.

• Vulnerability Management: Address external security inquiries, carry out manual code reviews to uncover vulnerabilities, and guide developers on effective remediation strategies.

• Automated Defenses: Create and implement automated controls utilizing open-source tools to identify, alert, and respond to prevalent attacks targeting our cloud platform.

• Security Knowledge Share: Lead internal training sessions and workshops on security best practices, promoting awareness and cultivating a security-first culture throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Programming Proficiency: Exhibit strong, hands-on coding skills in Python and shell scripting to develop security automation and tools.

• Software Security Experience: Bring over 6 years of Application Security experience, collaborating with developers in a SaaS setting to create and expand a software assurance program.

• Offensive Security Skills: Demonstrate practical expertise in manually identifying and exploiting common security vulnerabilities in web applications and RESTful APIs.

• Cloud & Container Expertise: Have hands-on experience in deploying and securing containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Systematic Problem-Solving: Employ a methodical approach to tackle complex technical challenges, complemented by strong communication skills and a profound sense of ownership.

• AI Fluency: Leverage contemporary AI tools and techniques to enhance security workflows, from code analysis to threat detection.
