📋 Description

• Drive Product Strategy and Decisions: Take ownership of the product direction and daily decision-making for essential platform capabilities in line with our overall company goals.

• Establish measurable outcomes and priorities that balance stability and retention, customer value, and modernization.

• Collaborate with Engineering on the comprehensive product roadmap, with an emphasis on identifying what will provide the most value to our clients and our business.

• Be an Active Executor: Create epics, user stories, and detailed acceptance criteria that engineers and QA can confidently build and test against.

• Conduct discovery and user research: Perform customer interviews, workflow mapping, pain point validation, and value testing.

• Keep an organized product ticket backlog for our client-facing teams, while prioritizing the development backlog, continuously refining it in collaboration with Engineering to ensure readiness for development.

• Address defects and production issues in collaboration with Implementation, Client Support, and Engineering. Prioritize fixes based on customer impact, risk, and business outcomes.

• Engage in our Agile product development process.

• Stabilize and Evolve a Critical, Complex Platform: Lead enhancements in reliability, performance, accuracy, and usability across intricate payroll/compliance workflows.

• Ensure that changes maintain the trust we have with our clients by considering and mitigating the impacts on their existing workflows.

• Empower Customer Facing Teams Through Product Enhancements: Collaborate with Support and Implementation to minimize friction, enhance tools, and boost effectiveness with clear, measurable outcomes.

• Leverage data and feedback loops (support trends, customer escalations, implementation insights, adoption signals) to target improvements that enhance retention.

• Lead Product Work Related to Integration: Manage requirements, documentation, and outcomes for integrations with our partners. Convert integration needs into clear product workflows, API requirements, data mapping expectations, and operational support considerations.

• Communicate Releases and Ensure Readiness: Organize and disseminate release communications (what has changed, who it affects, why it matters, how to utilize it). Partner with Marketing on positioning/enabling while personally owning release communications and internal readiness.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven, extensive professional experience in product management with B2B SaaS products, preferably involving complex financial calculations and integrations with payroll or ERP systems.

• Demonstrated ability to be a strong individual contributor: taking full ownership of outcomes from discovery through delivery to results.

• Experience with legacy systems and improving them incrementally while ensuring production reliability.

• Strong history of close collaboration with Engineering and QA, comfortable delving into edge cases, trade-offs, and technical constraints.

• Proven ability to define and deliver API-based integrations, including a solid understanding of: Integration patterns (REST APIs, webhooks, file-based interchange where applicable), Data mapping/validation, error handling, reconciliation, and operational support needs, Enterprise integration expectations (security, reliability, versioning, backward compatibility).

• Excellent written communication skills (clear requirements, decision logs, release notes, stakeholder updates).

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Support, Implementation, Sales, SMEs, and Finance—driving alignment and momentum.
