This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Guide agile practices: Facilitate refinement sessions, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups with engineering and UX teams, ensuring that everyone comprehends the value of the products being developed.
• Simplify product intricacies: Grasp requirements and delve into documentation from insurers and partners to outline fields, pricing rules, coverages, and assistance services that must be incorporated into our pricing engine.
• Guarantee journey excellence: Collaborate with the QA team to validate and test outputs, ensuring that the platform's calculations are consistently accurate to the insurer's reality, thereby preventing issuance or claims errors.
• Evaluate product performance: Track dashboards to pinpoint bottlenecks, such as why quotes from Insurer X exceed five seconds, and identify where users exit the flow.
• Manage crises and prioritization: Address real incidents, like unexpected disruptions in a partner insurer's service, quickly deciding on contingencies to prevent impacts on brokers' or customers' operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience (2+ years): Demonstrated background as a Product Owner, capable of managing a backlog, crafting well-defined user stories, and establishing clear acceptance criteria.
• Experience in Insurance/Insurtech: Familiarity with the insurance sector (brokers, insurers, or technology) is essential; you should understand terms like net premium, deductible, claim, endorsement, and commission without needing basic training.
• Technical understanding: While coding isn't required, you should grasp concepts like JSON, how API integrations function (REST/SOAP), and be able to interpret data mappings (From/To).
• Data-oriented decision-making: Capability to make informed decisions based on usage and behavioral metrics rather than mere guesses or intuition.
• Resilience and negotiation skills: Ability to confidently decline requests from stakeholders with solid rationale while remaining composed when addressing complex integration challenges in high-stakes environments.
• Effective and fluent communication: Skill in articulating ideas clearly, empathetically, and pedagogically to diverse audiences. You will need to translate technical insurance jargon from policies for the development team and simplify complex API architectures for business stakeholders. We are looking for someone who listens attentively and utilizes communication to clarify issues and align expectations without misunderstandings.
