Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of delivery for a cross-functional team (5–10 members) operating at the nexus of embedded/mobile software and AI-driven audio.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI-audio features, whether through personal contributions, strategic partners, or third-party developers within our app store.

• Serve as the primary point of intake for new tasks, ensuring commitments are gated on capacity approval before external deadlines, and escalating conflicts between roadmap and customer priorities when necessary.

• Maintain backlog quality based on a concrete Definition of Ready (acceptance criteria, user journeys, domain approval), ensuring requirements are locked and versioned instead of edited post-factum.

• Collaborate with your Product Manager to transform the roadmap and priorities into a feasible execution plan rooted in actual team capacity and timelines.

• Manage cross-team and partner dependencies by coordinating with other Product Owners and establishing acceptance criteria for intake streams (internal components, firmware, hardware, or similar) that contribute to your releases.

• Conduct a genuine go/no-go release gate in conjunction with release management, enhancing quality assurance early in the process through a living Definition of Done and encouraging developers to perform smoke tests, ensuring QA is not the sole line of defense.

• Identify risks early on and maintain transparency and predictability in delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead, successfully shipping complex enterprise-grade software in a scaled agile environment with multiple scrum teams.

• Proven experience in delivering intricate embedded or mobile products with a strong understanding of agile methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams of 5–10 members (including mobile development, cloud engineers, QA, UI-UX) with clear and confident communication.

• Comfort in making decisions amidst uncertainty and working autonomously in a remote setup.

• Strong history of pushing back against commitments made without capacity approval and negotiating trade-offs among stakeholders.

• Experience managing technical dependencies from start to finish — including internal transitions to external partners (components, firmware, hardware, or similar).

• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
