đź“‹ Description

• Convert product strategy and roadmaps from a 3Pillar PM or client PM into epics, stories, and acceptance criteria with a significant level of independence.

• Confidently navigate ambiguity: identify gaps in requirements, facilitate the right discussions to address them, and make well-informed decisions when direction is lacking.

• Lead and conduct backlog refinement sessions; ensure the team is not stalled waiting for story clarity.

• Actively engage in all Agile ceremonies as a senior, well-prepared contributor, and assist in enhancing the effectiveness of these ceremonies.

• Mentor and support POs within the engagement; review their stories, elevate quality standards, and invest in their professional growth.

• Collaborate with UX to ensure that research findings and design decisions are accurately and comprehensively reflected in the backlog.

• Clearly communicate backlog health, scope risks, and delivery signals to the PM and Delivery Lead.

• Advocate for AI-enhanced backlog practices—demonstrate effective use of AI in story writing, acceptance criteria, and requirements analysis; assist the team in adopting these practices.

• Provide product context in client-facing sessions when necessary—be credible and articulate regarding scope, requirements, and trade-offs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on software delivery teams—intentionally senior-weighted in relation to industry standards, reflecting the autonomy and complexity expected at this level.

• At least 4 years of experience in a consulting, professional services, or agency setting.

• Demonstrated history of owning complex backlogs across multi-team or multi-track engagements.

• Experience working under both internal PM direction and direct client PM/PO guidance.

• Strong Agile/Scrum practitioner; understands how backlog quality influences delivery outcomes.

• Highly autonomous—capable of identifying and addressing requirements gaps without needing direction.

• Proficient in collaborating with client PMs and POs: able to take direction, provide constructive feedback when necessary, and establish productive working relationships.

• Credible in client-facing product discussions: clear on scope, requirements, and trade-offs.

• Excellent written communication skills; produces documentation that engineering, QA, and stakeholders can rely on.

• Effective in globally distributed, cross-cultural teams.

• Utilizes AI tools as a standard component of the PO workflow—not merely as an experiment.
