Senior Product Operations Manager

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product leadership, Product Managers, and cross-functional business partners to ensure clarity in product initiatives, effective communication of decisions, and alignment on priorities, dependencies, and readiness.

• Empower product teams to efficiently complete both routine and strategic tasks by managing key processes, maintaining tools and workflows, and structuring how work is prepared, reviewed, and tracked.

• Continuously and iteratively enhance team operations by identifying bottlenecks, minimizing time on non-core product activities, and fortifying the systems, governance, and operating rhythms that underpin high-quality product work.

• Support the Product Operating Model and Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) by improving the workflow from intake through discovery, assessment, planning, and delivery, ensuring requests are thorough, handoffs are clear, and pertinent information is available when needed.

• Supervise the intake process and act as the initial reviewer for incoming requests. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary inputs, enhance intake quality, and ensure work is primed for Product review and decision-making.

• Prepare, coordinate, and lead recurring forums such as Weekly Business Reviews, roadmap reviews, stakeholder meetings, and leadership sessions. Ensure clarity in materials, capture decisions, and track follow-up actions to completion.

• Maintain and optimize the product management tech stack, including workflow hygiene, documentation practices, and reporting accuracy, to enhance transparency and usability across Product and cross-functional teams.

• Support and refine essential operating processes such as compliance reviews, cross-functional readiness, and other recurring governance requirements that facilitate effective interaction with Product.

• Lead or coordinate specific cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with Product Managers and leaders, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and execution across teams.

• Leverage data, reporting, and operational insights to identify trends, inform process enhancements, and assist the Product organization in continuously improving its planning and execution of work.

• Ensure that product operating processes, frameworks, and methodologies remain practical, valuable, and fit for purpose, implementing improvements thoughtfully with a strong change management perspective and a focus on progress over perfection.

• Promote open communication and facilitate alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders, ensuring teams work effectively towards shared objectives.

• Collaborate closely with the CPO and Product leadership to aid in the onboarding, training, documentation, and development of repeatable working methods that empower members of the Product Organization to excel within our product model.


⛳️ Requirements

• The role of Product Operations is a strategic support function that emphasizes both the coordination of people and the management of technology and processes.

• Ideal candidates will be adept at directly owning operational tasks while also discovering methods to enhance the organization’s workflows over time.

• Candidates with backgrounds in product operations, program or project management, business operations, product management, business analysis, or similar roles may possess the right blend of execution, organization, and process improvement experience for this position.

• A solid understanding of the entire product development lifecycle (PDLC), including intake, discovery, assessment, planning, release, and cross-functional readiness processes.

• Capable of working iteratively and pragmatically, able to enhance team operations gradually without over-engineering or attempting to change everything simultaneously.

• A logical and analytical mindset, with an understanding of what changes can be made, the value those changes can provide, and a comfort in utilizing data to support recommendations.

• An empathetic approach to genuinely comprehend the challenges being addressed and resolved in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

• Comfort with ambiguity, resilience to change, and the ability to adapt while managing multiple priorities and teams.

• Experience with task management and workflow tools such as Jira, Linear, Asana, Productboard, or similar platforms.

• Ability to comprehend, restructure, and implement knowledge bases and documentation systems using the most appropriate information architecture and documentation solutions available, such as Confluence, Notion, etc.

• Proficient in leveraging product, process, or operational data to enhance decision-making and extract relevant insights from available reporting and analytics.

• Experience in administering, facilitating, driving adoption of, and enhancing software tools and workflows.

• Confidence and experience in facilitating and presenting during meetings and presentations with diverse stakeholders.

• Proven ability to engage with all levels of the organization, from senior leaders to individual contributors, effectively making suggestions, advocating for improvements, and driving positive change.

• This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.

• Yearly incentive bonus target is 25% of base salary.
