
Senior Product Manager – Structured Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of and enhance the roadmap for a product area spanning a 1–3 quarter timeframe, while balancing customer requirements, technical developments, and business objectives.
• Define the integration of capabilities such as data preparation, modeling, and analytics into cohesive systems.
• Make informed trade-offs considering customer needs, technical limitations, and business impact.
• Think systemically: evaluate how the product facilitates the entire lifecycle from asset ingestion to reporting and decision-making.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of structured finance workflows, including asset-backed securities (ABS), MBS, CLOs, or equivalent instruments, along with loan-level data ingestion and normalization, cash flow modeling and scenario analysis, tranche structuring and risk assessment, and regulatory and investor reporting.
• Directly engage with clients (banks, asset managers, fintechs) to identify constraints, inefficiencies, and unaddressed needs.
• Transform complex financial and operational challenges into clear, actionable problem statements.
• Integrate AI tools (LLMs, copilots, workflows) as a fundamental element of product development rather than an afterthought.
• Create lightweight prototypes (prompts, workflows, internal tools) to validate concepts prior to drafting full specifications.
• Identify opportunities where AI-powered capabilities and automation can significantly enhance user workflows.
• Ensure that AI features are dependable, explainable, and compliant with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality product features.
• Compose clear, structured product specifications based on data and user insights.
• Establish success metrics and monitor adoption, impact, and effectiveness.
• Oversee execution progress, identify risks promptly, and promote cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain high standards for usability, reliability, and product integrity.
• Align engineering, design, sales, and customer success towards common goals.
• Articulate product direction through precise documentation and organized decision-making.
• Quickly resolve ambiguity and misalignment to sustain execution momentum.
• Contribute to product positioning and narrative through materials such as one-pagers, demos, and client-facing content.
• Manage the operational health of your product area, which includes performance monitoring, feature adoption, issue triage, and iteration cycles.
• Establish and refine repeatable processes that enhance execution speed and predictability.
• Over 5 years of product management experience within data platforms, analytics products, or financial technology.
• Solid understanding of structured finance concepts and processes, such as ABS, MBS, CLOs, etc.
• Proven experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver technical products.
• Experience with complex, data-intensive systems.
• Capability to convert domain-specific issues into clear product requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex financial and technical concepts.
