Senior Product Manager, Scalability & Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the roadmap for worker deployment alternatives, encompassing both self-hosted and serverless execution models.

• Spearhead initiatives for worker versioning to facilitate safe, zero-downtime code deployments while ensuring an exceptional developer experience.

• Advance the Temporal Worker Controller for Kubernetes to enhance worker management features within the Kubernetes ecosystem.

• Outline the vision for serverless worker execution, eliminating infrastructure management from the developer experience completely.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize worker tuning, resource efficiency, and scaling behaviors across various compute environments.

• Work alongside customers and the community to identify worker deployment challenges and validate proposed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in compute platforms such as serverless (Lambda, Cloud Run, App Engine), container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS), or comparable infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Version Control, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment systems.

• Experience in developing products aimed at developers where deployment simplicity and operational excellence are critical distinguishing factors.

• Knowledge of autoscaling systems, workload scheduling, and resource optimization at scale.

• Understanding of code versioning, deployment strategies, and the challenges developers face with long-running stateful systems.

• Demonstrated ability to convey complex infrastructure capabilities into user-friendly developer experiences.

• A practical, customer-centric approach to product management paired with strong technical communication skills.
