Senior Product Manager – Reporting, Visualisation

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the full product lifecycle for reporting and visualization within iP, from discovery to release and iteration.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the data architecture and reporting infrastructure that supports reporting and visualization across iP, collaborating closely with data engineers and platform teams.

• Establish and manage a prioritized roadmap for reporting, dashboards, and data visualization capabilities, balancing customer demands with platform scalability.

• Collaborate with the current Product Owner to convert roadmap priorities into precisely defined delivery tasks, ensuring smooth execution and a shared understanding of trade-offs among the team.

• Partner with engineering to grasp the data modeling, query performance, and architectural trade-offs that influence what can be achieved in reporting and visualization.

• Lead the product direction for iP's API and integrations platform capabilities, working with engineering leadership on developer experience, integration patterns, and third-party connectivity.

• Manage relationships with our strategic third-party technology partners, including a major global technology partner, fostering continued alignment, joint planning, and innovation.

• Spearhead the implementation and go-to-market strategy for AI capabilities delivered through this partnership, from initial rollout to ongoing customer engagement.

• Oversee usage and cost analysis for partner-delivered products, ensuring the value and efficiency of that investment are clearly understood as adoption increases.

• Cultivate a deep understanding of how sports organizations utilize data and reporting on a daily basis, establishing strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Define clear success metrics for your product area and utilize data to guide decisions and assess outcomes.

• Create and communicate a business case for roadmap investments, linking product decisions to business outcomes such as retention, expansion, and customer value.

• Clearly communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to facilitate successful go-to-market execution.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment, overseeing a product area from start to finish.

• Technical expertise in data analytics, reporting, or data visualization tools, with a solid grasp of how BI platforms, semantic layers, and data pipelines operate.

• Comfortable engaging with data and backend engineers regarding data models, schemas, and system architecture at a practical technical level.

• Experience in owning or contributing to API, developer platform, or integrations products, with familiarity in APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar) and integration patterns.

• Proven experience managing strategic technology or platform partnerships, ideally involving large global technology providers, to drive alignment and co-innovation on roadmaps.

• Experience in taking AI-powered capabilities from implementation to market, including collaboration with Sales and Marketing on positioning and launch strategies.

• Proficient in analyzing product usage and cost data to inform decisions about scaling, adopting, or optimizing partner-delivered capabilities.

• Strong comprehension of the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery through release and continuous iteration, with experience working closely with a Product Owner or delivery lead to ensure execution stays on course.

• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management abilities, with a knack for translating complex, often technical, user needs into clear product requirements.

• Customer-centric mindset capable of integrating both qualitative and quantitative inputs into decision-making processes.

• Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of how product decisions affect revenue, retention, and customer value.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools, such as Claude, Gemini, or similar, to expedite discovery, research, prototyping, and decision-making.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and customer success to achieve results.

• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and managing trade-offs between scope, quality, and time.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meeting direct-to-customer standards.

• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and highly organized.

• Prior experience managing a reporting, analytics, BI, or data visualization product.

• Experience working with or within professional sports organizations, clubs, federations, or leagues.

• Familiarity with sports performance, sports science, or athlete health workflows.
