This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop the vision and long-term strategic plan for the product, ensuring it aligns with company goals and meets customer expectations.
• Clearly communicate the business rationale and customer value for each project or feature.
• Lead the strategic planning process by identifying key investment areas, crafting business cases, and obtaining necessary internal approvals.
• Act as the recognized expert on the product, including market dynamics, technological trends, and competitive landscape.
• Utilize P&L insights to inform roadmap prioritization, ensuring financial objectives are addressed.
• Convert product strategy into actionable steps, determining what to develop and the timing for releases.
• Create and sustain both a detailed development roadmap for internal teams and an overarching roadmap for executives and clients.
• Collect feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, market research, and industry insights.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of products that meet market demands and quality standards.
• Establish pricing strategies, define core product positioning and messaging, and lead go-to-market launch initiatives.
• Gather, develop, and curate ideas from customers, sales, and internal stakeholders for the product backlog.
• Prioritize features by balancing user value, development complexity, time to market, and competitive differentiation.
• Monitor and assess product performance metrics such as sales, feature adoption, and user satisfaction.
• Conduct trials, pilots, and MVPs to validate assumptions and refine the product prior to wider launches.
• Perform continuous market and competitor analysis.
• Assess product market performance, including sales, renewals, and win/loss statistics.
• Evaluate product financial performance, including revenue, operational costs, and P&L effects.
• Monitor feature adoption, usability, and user satisfaction to foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate internally with engineering, design, sales, marketing, partner success, support, implementation, finance, legal, and the leadership team.
• Engage externally with customers, end-users, and partners to gather insights, build relationships, and deliver demonstrations.
• Advocate for the product through training, sales enablement, webinars, newsletters, and direct customer interactions.
• Serve as a product evangelist and establish trust as a leader throughout the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Pragmatic Marketing, CSPO) are advantageous.
• At least 7 years of product management experience in a software organization.
• Familiarity with pricing strategies, business cases, and P&L management.
• Experience in developing and implementing modernization strategies, including the transition of legacy solutions to cloud-based architectures.
• Proven track record in establishing value propositions, product messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
• Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of the product development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and AI-centric development with Claude Code.
• Highly effective in managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
