This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of prepaid cards from start to finish. As the sole Product Manager for our prepaid cards sector, you will oversee our US program, which currently handles millions of both digital and physical cards each year. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire cardholder experience, including large-scale issuance, fraud prevention, and lifecycle management, in addition to launching new initiatives and product enhancements.

• Collaborate across technical systems and partnerships. This role involves working closely with banks, card networks (such as Visa and Mastercard), processors, and wallet providers (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), along with internal stakeholders, including senior management.

• Manage the product roadmap. You will engage with stakeholders to determine what to develop and the timeline for implementation. When uncertainties arise, you will clarify them for the team.

• Define problems clearly. You are expected to articulate the challenges we are addressing and the reasons behind them, assisting our engineers and designers in effectively tackling these issues.

• Perform research and analysis. To accurately define these challenges, you will gather supporting data through user interviews, market research, and competitive analysis.

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to create solutions. As a PM, you will establish requirements and then partner with designers and engineers to identify suitable solutions.

• Work collaboratively in a non-meeting environment. At Tremendous, we have a culture that favors asynchronous communication over meetings. This may be a shift if you are accustomed to conducting PM work in a traditional meeting setting.

• Influence with subtlety. Not everyone will see eye to eye on priorities, and it is the PM's responsibility to facilitate decision-making while involving others in the process.

• Provide feedback on outcomes. After launching products, you will be tasked with helping the team evaluate the impact of their efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in building and launching web applications as a designer, engineer, or product manager at technology firms.

• 2+ years of experience as a PM within startup settings (preferably in growth-stage companies).

• Familiarity with card products (prepaid, debit, credit, or similar).

• Strong product intuition. You possess the ability to analyze a problem and identify the right solution.

• Proficient design judgment and technical fluency. You can hold your own in discussions with designers and engineers.

• Capability to convert a long-term strategy and extensive feature backlog into actionable roadmaps.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Our culture emphasizes documentation, and this role necessitates effective communication with senior stakeholders.

• Comfort with making decisions based on incomplete information and progressing work independently.

• Authentic empathy for users and colleagues. You are eager to understand their challenges.
