Senior Product Manager – PPA, Energy Trading Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ownership of product development across three key offerings: You will take charge of enhancing our three primary products – the Otark Marketplace (PPA platform), Green SPOT (our green power spot exchange), and 1-Click PPA (the fully automated PPA execution).

• Interpretation of the energy sector: You will distill the complexities of the energy market – PPA execution, balancing group management, spot and forward trading – into clear and actionable product specifications.

• Engaging with industry experts: You will facilitate thorough discussions with corporate buyers, direct marketers, and traders on an equal level.

• Strategy & roadmap ownership: As a "mini-CEO" of your features, you will guide them from the initial concept through domain validation to launch, prioritizing based on genuine market and customer value.

• Efficient collaboration: You will work closely with our engineering team, providing precise, well-considered, domain-validated requirements rather than vague tickets. Where feasible, you will also create prototypes yourself (refer to AI workflow).

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in the energy sector (essential): You possess substantial experience in the energy market and a clear understanding of how various components interact – including PPA structures and execution, balancing group management, and spot and/or forward trading.

• Experience in trading & settlement is a significant advantage: Background in power trading and trade settlement will make your application particularly compelling.

• Product management experience: You have previously held a role as a Product Manager or Product Owner and have successfully guided products from concept to market.

• Strong analytical skills: You demonstrate rapid comprehension abilities and possess a keen intellect.

• Familiarity with AI tools: You are open to utilizing modern AI technologies (e.g., Claude, code assistants, or similar AI agents) to quickly validate ideas and develop prototypes.

• Basic knowledge of web front-ends (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus – we will provide you with further training.

• Language proficiency: Native-level German (required for communication with German clients) and full fluency in English.

• Current residence: You are residing in Germany at present.
