đź“‹ Description

• Develop and implement a 1-2 year strategic roadmap for Promethean’s Active Panel and display product range.

• Align product strategies with Promethean’s mission to empower users globally.

• Spot opportunities for innovation across hardware, software, and services within the educational ecosystem.

• Oversee the complete management of product lines, which includes hardware platforms, embedded operating systems (e.g., Android-based experiences), and connected software solutions.

• Lead the introduction of new ActivPanel generations and associated offerings.

• Take ownership of product positioning, value proposition, and lifecycle management across international markets.

• Assess, select, and manage OEM/ODM partners for future Promethean hardware initiatives.

• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to evaluate vendor capabilities, cost structures, quality, and scalability.

• Direct RFI/RFP processes and aid in contract and partner selection decisions.

• Ensure OEM partners meet Promethean’s standards for performance, reliability, innovation, and global distribution requirements.

• Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights (usage data, classroom workflows, field research) to uncover unmet needs.

• Convert real user challenges into innovative, scalable product solutions.

• Collaborate with engineering, UX, curriculum, sales, and marketing teams to deliver integrated solutions.

• Work with global regional teams to ensure products cater to local market demands while maintaining platform consistency.

• Serve as a primary advocate for the product both internally and externally, promoting Promethean’s solutions.

• Define product requirements encompassing hardware, firmware, and software integration.

• Manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and oversee release cycles.

• Ensure the high-quality delivery of reliable, intuitive, and impactful classroom technology.

• Establish and monitor KPIs for product success, including adoption, engagement, revenue, and customer satisfaction.

• Continually assess product performance and iterate based on insights.

• Maintain leadership in the AV and edtech sectors through continuous innovation.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in the audio-visual (AV) sector, particularly in display or interactive technologies.

• Proven experience in managing and launching new product lines, specifically interactive flat panels or similar hardware/software solutions.

• Practical experience collaborating with OEM/ODM partners, including vendor evaluation and selection.

• Demonstrated ability to define strategy and deliver complex, integrated hardware and software products.

• Strong lifecycle management experience, from initial concept through commercialization and scaling.

• Ability to leverage customer insights, market data, and analytics to inform decisions.

• Comprehensive understanding of AV systems, including display technologies, touch interfaces, and connectivity.

• Familiarity with Android-based systems and embedded device ecosystems is preferred.

• Knowledge of hardware development cycles, supply chain considerations, and global manufacturing processes.

• Understanding of classroom technology environments, IT infrastructure, and procurement cycles in education.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to convey engaging product visions.

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills across global, matrixed teams and external partners.

• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster alignment, including with third-party vendors.
