This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a 1-2 year roadmap for Promethean’s Active Panel and display product range.

• Ensure product strategy is in line with Promethean’s mission to empower users globally.

• Discover opportunities for innovation within hardware, software, and services in the classroom ecosystem.

• Oversee the complete management of product lines, including hardware platforms, embedded operating systems (such as Android-based experiences), and connected software solutions.

• Spearhead the introduction of new ActivPanel generations and associated offerings.

• Take charge of product positioning, value proposition, and lifecycle management across international markets.

• Assess, select, and manage OEM/ODM partners for forthcoming Promethean hardware initiatives.

• Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to evaluate vendor capabilities, cost structures, quality, and scalability.

• Lead RFI/RFP processes and support contract and partner selection decisions.

• Ensure OEM partners conform to Promethean’s standards for performance, reliability, innovation, and global distribution requirements.

• Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights (such as usage data, classroom workflows, and field research) to pinpoint unmet needs.

• Convert real user challenges into innovative and scalable product solutions.

• Collaborate with engineering, UX, curriculum, sales, and marketing teams to provide integrated solutions.

• Partner with global regional teams to guarantee products cater to local market demands while upholding platform consistency.

• Serve as a primary advocate for the product both internally and externally, promoting Promethean’s solutions.

• Define product requirements that encompass hardware, firmware, and software integration.

• Manage product backlogs, feature prioritization, and release schedules.

• Ensure the high-quality delivery of dependable, intuitive, and impactful classroom technology.

• Determine and track KPIs for product success, including adoption, engagement, revenue, and customer satisfaction.

• Continuously assess product performance and iterate based on insights.

• Sustain leadership in the AV and edtech sector through continuous innovation.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in the audio-visual (AV) sector, with a significant emphasis on display or interactive technologies.

• Established history of managing and launching new product lines, especially interactive flat panels or similar hardware/software solutions.

• Practical experience working with OEM/ODM partners, including vendor assessment and selection.

• Proven ability in defining strategies and delivering complex, integrated hardware and software products.

• Strong lifecycle management experience, from conception through commercialization and scalability.

• Capacity to leverage customer insights, market data, and analytics to inform decisions.

• Comprehensive understanding of AV systems, including display technologies, touch interfaces, and connectivity.

• Familiarity with Android-based systems and embedded device ecosystems is preferred.

• Knowledge of hardware development cycles, supply chain considerations, and global manufacturing processes.

• Insight into classroom technology environments, IT infrastructure, and procurement cycles in the education sector.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities to convey compelling product visions.

• Strong cross-functional leadership across global, matrixed teams and external partners.

• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster alignment, including third-party vendors.
