This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the vision and roadmap for the frontend, which includes the design system and front-end platform, ensuring that platform investments align with company initiatives so that design and engineering can prioritize customer needs.
• Transform our design system from a comprehensive component library into smaller, modular building blocks featuring consistent APIs, focusing on making components first-class for AI and LLM-driven experiences.
• Lead accessibility and internationalization initiatives to achieve set milestones, including large-scale localization and compliance with accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with our AI team to empower product teams with the agentic patterns necessary for developing the next generation of Vanta experiences.
• Oversee go-to-market strategies and adoption for design-system updates, while managing ongoing quality assurance and addressing minor issues for the entire product.
• Work closely with your engineering and design leads in a triad, continuously prioritizing the most impactful work across a broad surface area.
• Anticipate the future of the design system and front-end platform over the next 12 to 18 months, considering scalability with Vanta and AI-native use.
• Possess 4-8+ years of product management experience, with genuine ownership of a design system, front-end platform, or developer and design experience that has supported multiple teams.
• Exhibit craftsmanship and taste at scale. You have a strong perspective on quality, can implement it across numerous teams, and gain credibility with senior design and product leaders.
• Have a builder's mindset. While not an engineer, you're hands-on: you create prototypes and demos and utilize the same component building blocks your team deploys.
• Foster horizontal collaboration and build trust. You serve every product team as an internal platform, facilitate consensus across the organization, and are a welcomed partner to other teams.
• Think systemically. You understand how components, tokens, patterns, and front-end infrastructure interconnect and influence every product surface.
• Communicate the narrative. You articulate the importance of front-end and design-system investments, translating them into clear business value for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Be open to leveraging AI to enhance skills and improve work quality, showcasing curiosity, a desire to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to boost efficiency and impact.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring current or future employer sponsorship.
• Competitive salary and equity in the industry.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans.
• 16 weeks of paid Parental Leave for all new parents.
• Health & wellness stipend.
• Stipends for remote workspace, internet, and cellphone expenses.
• Commuter benefits for team members who work at the SF and NYC offices.
• Family planning benefits.
• Matching 401(k) contributions with immediate vesting.
• Flexible PTO policy, along with 80 hours of Sick Time.
• 11 company-paid holidays.
• Virtual team-building activities, lunch and learns, and various company-wide events!
