This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the in-house authority on consumer needs, understanding the motivations behind their product requests or purchases, how they utilize the product, and the new challenges it can address.
• Conduct discovery sessions, establish sustainable feedback loops, and convert insights into the product roadmap.
• Enhance the tools utilized by our Fire Safety Team to boost their effectiveness and throughput in addressing customer fire hazards.
• Upgrade the current web and mobile experiences while facilitating new workflows and customer interactions.
• Set the guiding vision for the Ting Sensor and Services, along with the strategy to achieve this vision in collaboration with company leadership.
• Outline and deliver the roadmap that progresses towards the established vision.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to define the scope of each product release.
• Assess the consumer and business impact of product modifications post-implementation.
• Lead the product development initiatives that support new distribution channels alongside Marketing and Sales.
• Work with marketing on product positioning, messaging, pricing, and packaging, ensuring a seamless experience across all acquisition channels.
• Advance the internal practices for roadmapping, prioritization, and release planning for this product line.
• Employ modern AI tools proficiently across research, prototyping, writing, and analysis to meet the expectations of today's PMs.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in consumer/mobile app product management.
• At least 2 years of experience in distributing products through D2C channels, with knowledge of subscription-based products, churn models, and LTV calculations.
• Strong comprehension of consumer interactions with device/software combinations, including wearables, smart home technology, and telemetry.
• Ability to extract both qualitative and quantitative consumer insights to guide product strategy and roadmap development.
• Preferably experienced with internal tools that enhance the consumer experience.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, coupled with executive presence.
• Comfortable leading product and business discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to convert ambiguous consumer needs into clear, repeatable product requirements catering to multiple buyers.
• Strong intuition regarding pricing, packaging, and what constitutes a commercially viable D2C product.
• At least 2 years of experience in a growth-stage startup environment, thriving in conditions of ambiguity and fast-paced development.
• Familiarity with specific AI tools and workflows utilized daily, along with an understanding of how they’ve enhanced productivity.
• Serve as an effective intermediary between engineers and business stakeholders, remaining collaborative under pressure and uncertainty.
• Process-oriented in a constructive manner: implementing lightweight processes that scale with the team rather than for their own sake.
