This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the vision and strategy for SeatGeek's Catalog, establishing how we create the most precise, comprehensive, and up-to-date representation of the live event landscape in the industry.

• Elevate catalog coverage and freshness: accelerate the launch of new events and onsales, close inventory and matching gaps, and minimize errors and outdated information that compromise fan trust and downstream conversion.

• Integrate user insights, data analysis, and domain expertise to pinpoint areas where enhanced catalog data can transform the fan experience (consider seat features, views, maps, and enriched event content) and where it facilitates partner and operations workflows.

• Collaborate closely with operations and marketplace teams to develop tools and processes that enable SeatGeek to ingest and maintain catalog data at scale.

• Work alongside analytics to establish key metrics for catalog health — including coverage, freshness, accuracy, and match rate — and create dashboards and monitoring systems to ensure accountability across the platform.

• Promote and advocate for Catalog throughout the company, celebrating achievements and collaborating with PMs across the entire shopping funnel and post-purchase experience on interdependencies and shared opportunities.

• Keep abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies that could automate ingestion, enhance matching, and enrich our portrayal of the live event experience.

• Mentor junior product team members and contribute to the development of our product team culture and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of relevant product management experience with a proven history of delivering impactful products at scale, preferably in marketplace, platform, or data-intensive environments.

• Experience managing foundational data, catalog, or platform products where accuracy, completeness, and freshness are integral to the value provided — and where downstream teams rely on your contributions.

• Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problem spaces: you can transform a chaotic real-world domain into structured, scalable, and trustworthy systems and processes.

• Strong data fluency: comfortable defining quality metrics, engaging in analytics, and collaborating with analysts to derive insights that inform decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.

• Experience collaborating with operations teams and designing internal tools or workflows — recognizing that exceptional catalog data is as much about process and people as it is about product.

• Strong customer empathy and an aesthetic sensibility for product design, even when the "customer" is often an internal operator or downstream team.

• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with proficiency in modern prototyping tools such as Claude, Figma, Make, Loveable, or similar platforms to effectively convey ideas to cross-functional partners.

• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams toward ambitious objectives with urgency and clarity.

• Demonstrated curiosity about new technologies and their potential to address user challenges in innovative ways.

• Ideally, experience with products that utilize machine learning or AI for automating data ingestion, entity matching, or content enrichment at scale.

• Ideally, experience with marketplace or ticketing products, or other fields where a high-quality catalog or knowledge graph serves as a core competitive advantage.

• This position requires candidates to be located on the East Coast, with a preference for those in the New York City area.
