This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a significant product area, which could encompass fuel cost optimization, fleet efficiency, energy management, or operational cost intelligence.
• Convert Samsara's operational data (including telematics, fuel consumption, idling, routing, and vehicle health) into products that assist customers in lowering expenses and enhancing fleet performance.
• Conduct thorough discovery sessions with stakeholders who face these challenges: fleet owners, fuel managers, operations leaders, and finance teams.
• Create prototypes and design MVPs independently - including clickable flows, working demos, and rough cuts, often utilizing AI - to validate concepts with customers prior to allocating engineering resources.
• Deliver complete experiences alongside design, engineering, and data science teams - covering everything from backend pipelines and partner integrations to the dashboards and mobile interfaces that customers engage with daily.
• Establish success metrics, develop business cases for new initiatives, and encourage an ongoing cycle of experimentation and iteration based on data and customer insights.
• Advocate for, model, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand globally and into new offices.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, with a proven history of launching products utilized by real customers at scale.
• Capable of showcasing a product you have designed, prototyped, or built, along with a cross-functional launch that you managed from start to finish; you possess both creative and operational strengths.
• Proficient in working with data: you can identify necessary information, create measurement methods for unmeasured aspects, define essential KPIs, and collaborate effectively with data science teams.
• Strong instincts for customer research and a tendency to translate insights into strategies that result in successful product launches.
• Exceptional communication abilities; able to align cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, marketing, legal, GTM) and clarify complex trade-offs for varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in launching products that rely on partnerships, integrations, or external data - involving ecosystems that extend beyond your own engineering team.
• Relevant domain experience in one or more of the following areas: fuel/energy, fleet management, fintech/payments, logistics, or electric vehicles.
• Experience in launching features powered by AI or machine learning.
• Comprehensive health and parental leave plans.
• Professional development stipend.
• Flexible, employee-driven remote working model.
